List of Ram Temple rituals in Ayodhya from January 16 to January 22

In a historic moment that resonates with cultural and religious significance, the consecration of Lord Ram in his child-like form, known as Ram Lalla, is set to take place at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22. The event is anticipated to draw dignitaries from various fields, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, iconic cricketers, Bollywood celebrities, prominent industrialists, saints, and representatives from different countries.

The seven-day long rituals leading up to the grand ceremony will commence on January 16 and unfold with a series of traditional and spiritually rich events. The Ram Temple trust, responsible for organizing the consecration, has released the detailed schedule of events, providing a glimpse into the sacred journey culminating in the historic consecration.

January 16: Atonement and Ritualistic Bath

The appointed host will conduct the atonement ceremony, accompanied by the ‘Dashvidh’ bath on the banks of the sacred river Saryu. The day’s rituals will include worship of Lord Vishnu and Godan.

January 17: Procession of Ram Lalla

The idol of Lord Ram in his child-like form will be taken in a grand procession, with devotees carrying Saryu water in Mangal Kalash, symbolizing purity and auspiciousness.

January 18: Elaborate Rituals

A day filled with rituals, including Ganesh Ambika Puja, Varun Puja, Matrika Puja, Brahmin Varan, Vastu Puja, among others, highlighting the meticulous preparations for the consecration.

January 19: Sacred Ceremonies

Agni Sthapana, Navagraha Sthapana, and Havan will mark this day, invoking divine energies for the consecration ceremony.

January 20: Sanctum Sanctorum Purification

The sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple will undergo purification with the holy waters of the Saryu river. Vaastu Shanti and Annadhivas will follow, ensuring the sanctity of the sacred space.

January 21: Divine Bath and Rituals

The deity of Ram Lalla will receive a divine bath with 125 urns, accompanied by the ritual of Shayadhivas, adding a spiritual crescendo to the consecration preparations.

January 22: Culmination in Mrigashira Nakshatra

The much-awaited day will witness the culmination of the consecration ceremony. In the morning, worship of the deity of Ram Lalla will take place, followed by the auspicious consecration in the afternoon, timed with the Mrigashira Nakshatra.

Distinguished Guests

Eminent personalities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Mukesh Ambani, Ratan Tata, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, and former PM Manmohan Singh, have been invited to grace the ceremony on January 22, adding a touch of grandeur to this historic event.
