In a shocking revelation, at least 15 trainee police sub-inspectors (SIs), including the topper, have been detained in Rajasthan for allegedly clearing the SI recruitment entrance test in 2021 through unfair means. Massive Paper Leak Scandal Unearthed: 15 Trainee Detained in Rajasthan

The scandal came to light as a team of the Rajasthan police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) reached the Rajasthan Police Academy, detaining suspects undergoing training at the institution. One sub-inspector was also apprehended from the Police Training School in Ajmer’s Kishangarh, while two others were detained in their respective villages.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma took to social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) to announce the success of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in controlling paper leak incidents in the state. The SIT, formed to prevent paper leaks, played a crucial role in apprehending the suspects.

“BIG success of SIT in Sub-Inspector Recruitment Exam 2021 paper leak case, 15 people in custody. 15 suspects (trainees) including the exam topper, who are undergoing training at RPA Jaipur and RPTC Kishangarh, are being interrogated by the SIT in SOG,” stated the chief minister.

VK Singh, the ADG of the state police’s ATS and SOG, revealed that the Rajasthan Public Service Commission conducted the Sub-Inspector and Platoon Commander Recruitment exam in 2021. Following information about a criminal gang leaking the question paper and manipulating the recruitment process, an FIR (first information report) was registered, leading to the current investigation.

The probe agency is not only focusing on question paper leaks but also suspects the use of dummy candidates during the exam. As the 15 suspects are being questioned at the SOG headquarters, the scandal raises concerns about the integrity of the recruitment process and the need for stringent measures to prevent such malpractices in the future.
