In a recent Instagram Stories update, actor Shruti Haasan addressed and denied speculations surrounding her marriage to boyfriend Santanu Hazarika. The clarification came in response to claims made by Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Bollywood’s best friend, Orry, who referred to Santanu as Shruti’s ‘husband.’ Shruti, who has been in a long-term relationship with Santanu, took to social media to dismiss the rumors.
Responding to the rumors, Shruti wrote on her Instagram Stories, “So, I’m not married. For someone who has been open about every single thing, why would I hide this? LOL. So people who don’t know me at all, please calm down.”
The controversy began when Orry conducted an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Reddit, where he recounted an incident where Shruti Haasan allegedly displayed rudeness towards him at an event. Orry mentioned that there might be a misunderstanding and expressed admiration for Santanu Hazarika, Shruti’s boyfriend.
Addressing the issue, Shruti Haasan, in a previous interview, talked about her stance on marriage, stating that the concept scares her. She emphasized her happiness in the current relationship, her collaboration with Santanu, and the enjoyable time they share together. Shruti added, “Isn’t it better than most marriages?”
Shruti, who is currently riding high on the success of Salaar alongside Prabhas, shared her positive experience working with the actor. In an interview, she described Prabhas as chill, friendly, and relaxed off-screen, highlighting his kind, thoughtful, and generous nature. Despite his off-screen persona, she noted the transformation when the director called action, bringing out a different aspect of Prabhas.
