Jhansi made its mark with a single user ordering a staggering 269 items, while Bhubaneswar witnessed a pizza frenzy with 207 pizzas devoured in a single day.

Bengaluru: The Cake Capital:

Bengaluru earned the coveted title of ‘Cake Capital’ with an astounding 8.5 million chocolate cake orders during festive times. Meanwhile, gulab jamuns took center stage with 7.7 million orders during Durga Puja celebrations.

Masala dosas reigned supreme among vegetarian orders throughout all nine days of Navaratri. In a surprising twist, a dedicated idli lover in Hyderabad spent a whopping Rs 6 lakh savoring the steam-cooked rice cake.

Niche Snacking Surges:

On Father’s Day, guilt-free and gourmet choices witnessed a 146 per cent surge in orders on Swiggy Guiltfree. Millet-based dishes followed suit with a 124 per cent rise, aligning with the International Year of Millets.

Biryani Dominance Continues:

Biryani retained its crown as the most-ordered dish for the eighth consecutive year, averaging 2.5 biryani orders per second by 2.49 million users. The dish was searched a staggering 40,30,827 times.

Ultimate Biryani Lovers:

A Swiggy user from Hyderabad clinched the title of the ultimate biryani lover, ordering a mind-boggling 1,633 biryanis during the year. Meanwhile, a family in Chandigarh indulged in 70 plates during an India-Pakistan match.

Savings and Discounts:

Swiggy Dineout users saved an impressive Rs 300 crore, showcasing India’s love for saving while dining out. Exclusive discounts allowed a savvy Hyderabadi to pocket Rs 5.58 lakh, taking full advantage of this feature.

Insta-pur Delights:

Insta-pur, a creation of Swiggy Instamart’s top five cities, would be the 17th most populated country globally. Bengaluru emerged as the biggest mango lover, surpassing the combined mango orders of Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Celebrating Delivery Heroes:

A round of applause for Swiggy’s unsung heroes – delivery partners covered an impressive 166.42 million green kilometers using electric vehicles and cycles. Individual heroes like Venkatasen from Chennai, Santhini from Kochi, Ramjeet Singh from Gurgaon, and Pardeep Kaur from Ludhiana made significant contributions to the success, delivering smiles through 10,360, 6,253, 9,925, and 4,664 orders, respectively.
