The chilling sequence of events unfolded after Ibad finished his evening prayers at the local mosque on Sunday, only to be abducted by Maulvi before meeting a grim end.
The motive behind this heinous act was shockingly mundane – Salman Maulvi, residing in the same neighborhood, harbored aspirations of building a new house and sought a ransom of ₹23 lakh to finance his dream. In a bid to extort money from Ibad’s family, Maulvi executed his sinister plan, leading to a community-wide search operation and eventual discovery of the boy’s lifeless body concealed in a sack behind Maulvi’s residence.
The ordeal began when Ibad failed to return home after prayers, prompting his distraught family to initiate a frantic search. Their worst fears were realized when Ibad’s father received a chilling ransom call, demanding a hefty sum for his son’s safe return. Despite efforts to locate Ibad, including a dual search operation conducted by both villagers and law enforcement, the outcome was devastating.
