The former Indian captain’s love for the game and his fans was evident during a visit to the Deori Maa Temple in Ranchi. A heartwarming video captured Dhoni sharing a delightful moment with a young fan, showcasing the connection he shares with cricket enthusiasts across the country.

Despite the frenzy at the temple, with fans clamoring for selfies and autographs, Dhoni maintained his trademark calm and composed demeanor, putting on a smiling face throughout the interaction.

CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan, addressing the speculation surrounding Dhoni’s future, emphasized that only the iconic captain could provide insights into whether IPL 2024 would be his last edition. “As far as the captain is concerned, he will answer you directly. He does not tell us what he is going to do,” said Viswanathan.

Dhoni, who underwent knee surgery in early June, is currently in the rehabilitation phase. The CSK management remains optimistic about his fitness, with Viswanathan stating, “He is doing well now. He has started his rehab. He started working in the gym. And, probably in another 10 days, he’ll start working in the nets also.”

CSK’s preparations for IPL 2024 have been strategic, with the team making notable acquisitions during the Players Auction in Dubai. The six-player roster includes the most expensive buy, New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell, priced at Rs 14 crore. CSK also raised eyebrows by securing uncapped Indian batter Sameer Rizvi for Rs 8.4 crore and re-signing India all-rounder Shardul Thakur, following his release from KKR.

As anticipation builds for Dhoni’s on-field return in CSK colors, fans eagerly await another thrilling season under his leadership.
